BIOGRAFIE
Maren Wiese studied Applied Theatre Studies at Justus Liebig University Giessen and Visual Communication with a focus on animation at the Kunsthochschule Kassel, graduating with honors in 2022.
Her artistic practice combines animation, film, illustration, and performative formats. During her studies she created several animated short films, a video game, and two music videos, which have been presented internationally at film festivals and exhibitions. Alongside these projects, she developed animated visuals and motion design for stage productions and collaborated on the conception of interdisciplinary performance works, in which she also appeared as a performer.
She currently works as a freelance animation artist and illustrator, creating animated films, visual concepts, and stage visuals for artistic and interdisciplinary projects.
