Based on Franz Kafka’s novel, Gesa Bering, Benedikt Grubel, and I collaborated to create an immersive theatrical experience for audiences of all ages. Gregor Samsa’s story unfolds through a dynamic blend of live soundscapes, acted scenes, and videoprojections.
My animations were intricately woven into the performance, merging with a live video feed and projected onto tube-shaped curtains positioned at the center of the stage. Using three projectors to display visuals from all angles, the imagery multiplied and spilled onto the surrounding walls, enveloping the space in a surreal, distinctly "Kafkaesque" atmosphere.
