Inspired by Mary Shelley's 1818 novel, the team of METAMORPHOSIS (2018) and I embarked on a dark and thought-provoking journey to the edges of human abysses and imagination. Blurring the line between horror story and a curious exploration of knowledge, we sought to unravel the secret of life using every sense and medium—resurrecting Frankenstein’s monster, reassembled and newly sewn, on stage.
This science-fiction theatre spectacle delves into themes of beauty and creation, guilt and horror. My animated visuals played a central role in bringing the story’s horror, beauty, and vast, haunting landscapes to life, immersing the audience in the timeless allure and terror of Shelley’s world.
